Biotechnology education in neon

Biotechnology education in neon by Central Historian.
The Genetics Biotechnology Center is located on Henry Mall at the UW-Madison. It was built on the site formerly occupied by Wisconsin High School.

I was intrigued when I noticed this neon sign all aglow in an otherwise dark building on Friday evening. The window is located in a ground level window. I took this photograph with my camera set on its "night scene shooting" mode. I did not use a tripod (or ad hoc tripod): This is a hand held shot.

To see a photograph of what the entire building looks like, as well as several of its predecessor, check out my blog post about visiting Henry Mall in March (during daylight hours).
