You are looking down onto the top of a spike of tiny blue blossoms (each less than 1/2 inch across) -- the angle I liked best after exploring several different ways of viewing this plant that is native to the Canary Islands. It's a dwarf Echium handiensis, also known as Pride of Fuerteventura.
In this capture, you can see one of the buds, which are a brilliant pink. The stamens look to me as if they are reaching to the heavens, thus my title. A little something different from South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes, California USA. Zuiko 50mm macro, f/6.3, 1/25 sec., handheld in open shade
You can even count the hairs on the pistils in the larger view on black!
