Tayrona Nationa Natural Park, Colombia.
26th of March 2011.
A boy was laughing while playing with his father necklaces. I sat on a dead tree, 2 meters behind them in order to take a break from my walk. I asked the father if I could take a picture of his son. He smiled, nodded and told his son to look at me. The boy froze as soon as he turned around and saw me. It wasn't fear but a mix of "what should I do" and shyness. During the 30 seconds it took me to take 3 pictures, the boy didn't move an eyelash. After I took the picture, I realized the boy wasn't looking at me but that he was really focused on the 75 liters bagpack I was carrying.
