"Hey Joe, I used my 70-200 mm!"
Conditions were pretty miserable for a sunrise shoot at the Towers of Virgin. In fact, you couldn't even see them! But if you turned around, you were treated to interesting views of the Watchman, one of the iconic landmarks in Zion National Park. We would spend lots more time photographing the Watchman later in the day - from the (in)famous bridge. At sunset you are hoping for that soft golden light to strike. I kinda like taking it in the other direction with this photograph; cold, monochrome, rugged and harsh.
