Sunset at Matanzas Inlet, Fort Matanzas, FL
Now where is that boat when you need it?
I know this shot lacks some foreground, but there was nothing. I went to this location as the clouds really looked cool just an hour earlier and I thought I'll get some nice sky and use "Mr. Conch" as a foreground.
Well, by the time sunset approached there was just one plain cloud covering the whole sky. Only in the last minute a little gap at the horizon opened and the sun came through. But shooting wide to get the shell into the picture, the sun would have only been a speck in the sky, barely noticeable.
While I was waiting for sunset, lots of boats and waverunners were passing by, but of course not as the sun was setting.
