Night Falls

Historic Naples Fishing Pier, Naples, FL

I hadn't planned on shooting yet another sunset at Naples pier, but I seem to end up there after every trip to Florida's west coast. My original plan was to try a location nearby, but the place was occupied by numerous pelicans. And after the sunset I shot the night before had already been ruined by hundreds of birds flying in and out of my exposures I had no desire of a repeat and gave the location a miss... for now.

Wilson's Snipe

I tried several angles but always had a branch sticking out of the birds head or some blades of grass in its face. This is the best shot with the "least obstruction" I managed to get. I yet have to figure out how this clone tool in Lightroom works, then I could have removed some of those. ;-)

Sorry for yet another the post and run, I should be home by tonight and will catch up with you tomorrow after work. I am still without computer.
