This is a popular place to photograph I see.
If I remember correctly, this is the back
side of the hall near the east end of the
terrace garden. Pretty nice shot!

i'm so enamored of this one: the aspect
ratio, that you've preserved the chrome feel
without noisy gloss, peaks yielding to sleek
glides. this image visualizes the way i
experience music.

This photo is pure architectural lovliness.
It seems to represent pure balance. It has
fluidity and movement, that keeps my eye
dancing around the contours metallic
shimmering buliding. This image also has wave
like elements...If it was possible to surf on
a building- this would be just the place!
Where did you find this futuristic marvel?

yes, this is my obligatory gehry tribute.
this must be one of the most photographed
buildings on flickr, but you can't visit
downtown LA with a camera and not stop here.
i was pickup up a passport nearby and hadn't
made the pilgrimage yet.
chris - not too many sharp edges?
jen - i'm sure gehry had music in mind, but
i wonder what kind.
adrian - here's to hms runacres ;-)

Wow . . . that is so intriguing. I think the
architect would be delighted with your shot.

Gehry is genius to enable this.
Thanks for the different take on his work.
The framing and quality of light seem
perfect for the subject.

thanks amenon. fascinating links (although
1st and 2nd are the same). i'd be interested
to know how they were created, especially if
there's some connection with darkmatter ;-)

Oops... got my hyperlinks in a twist... fixed
that :-)
Rats - I was hopng you'd tell me those
videos had some cool representation of dark
matter woven into them... but maybe the
artist just chose the name because the vids
have dark patches and sounds cool. Whatever
he used must have some pretty powerful
graphics processor on board.

They might be based on similar mathematics,
but that's a long shot. The rendering
wouldn't have to be real time so the
processing requirements aren't too heavy.
