India - A Multitude of People and Cultures (Mosaic)

This is a mosaic that I have created using a program called MacOSaiX on my Apple MacBook.

The original image is by Navpreet titled Tiranga (Tricolor)

This mosaic consists of 4225 flickr photos which have either been tagged India or have India in their title or description. It took 4 hrs and 20,000 iterations to finish and the original image is 22.3mb with a resolution of 4104 x 2677 with 65 x 65 tiles = 4225 tiles.

Made this to mark the 60th Indian Independence day on August 15th.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.
