• This is from my greasy fingers and not as noticeable as it would appear in this photo. It comes RIGHT off with a cloth though.

Macbook madness

Wanted to try out the multiperson chat. Works well.

Macbooks group

Also of note: is the fact that you can "secondary click" by having two fingers on the trackpad while clicking. Very very very well done.

i have the same problem with my white iBook g3 its a nasty affair, wont be until end of july till i have the money to get a macbook :-(

One thing that's really confused me about these new Macbooks is the glossy screen and the fact that Apple's promoting it as if it's an awesome new feature. Glossy = bad on so many levels. Am I missing something here?

  5. sethrubenstein (74 months ago | reply)

I like the glossy screen I have a toshiba satelite a85 aswell at home and its got a glossy screen its great ive never had a problem with it especially when your editing photos its great everything looks so much crisper.

How do you turn on the right-click with 2 fingers on the trackpad + click option? I have a MacBook Pro and I don't see that option at all ... ;-(

Can you please take screen capture of that preference panel?

  11. Tom Armitage (74 months ago | reply)

christoyc: it's not on the 15" MBPro.

  12. cdevroe (74 months ago | reply)

christoyc: It is under the Mouse preferences, but I am not sure if it is on the Pro yet. Might have a firmware update for it, but it definitely is a "first" on the Macbook.

    Gareth Horner: Obviously I disagree.

ahmed.pilot: no i was not naked. just wasn't wearing a shirt because it's so hot down here (costa rica).

  14. leo.prie.to (74 months ago | reply)

Well Josue, you should dress up the next time you do a videochat with cdevroe and get uploaded to his Flickr: 3,500 people end up seeing you.

But I'm just saying that because I'm jealous that's it's not that warm over here. ;)

(Can't wait to get my hands on my own "BlackBook")

  15. mathewh (74 months ago | reply)

i actually wash my hands each time i use my ibook so it doesn't get dirty. how geeky is that?

someone used my macbook a few weeks ago and got the trackpad and click button dirty. i need to take care of that before i can't anymore.

  16. josue salazar (74 months ago | reply)

leo, yea, if i had known so many people would be looking at this, oh i probably would've left the video chat.

you're getting a macbook? me too, as soon as they get here.

    Re MacBook two finger 'ctrl'+click...
"...it definitely is a "first" on the Macbook."
Not so, I used to have two-finger scrolling & clicking on my iBook with a modified trackpad driver, it's free:

    Certainly raised my productivity :)
