15,000+ History items

I love having a searchable history of over 15,000 URLs I've been to. But I'm wondering if this will ever have any affect on Camino's performance (I haven't noticed any yet). It might be time for some house cleaning.

Side note: It'd be nice if Camino separated these history items out into weeks, or months, or something a little less obtuse than "More than a week ago".

Compare with one month ago when I was at a little over 8,000 URLs.

It would probably slow down the performance of Camino when you're typing in a web address, because as you type it in it searches the history to see if you've typed/visited that site already.

If you want to remove the history, but still have a copy of it backed up, just close Camino, move the history file to a backup area, and start Camino. Nice and fresh again.

Pearce: I thought the same thing but so far, it simply hasn't been an issue (at least not that I've noticed). Good tip, though I'd probably end up exporting them as .URLs or something instead of Camino's proprietary DB format for these.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
