Infected by Scott Sigler on the Kindle

Infected by Scott Sigler on the Kindle by CC Chapman.
I had to see if my good buddies book was available for the Kindle and when I found out it was I instantly bought it as further support for him. I'm curious if authors get shown numbers by type because that would be cool.

Nice... the Kindle. It's on my list of cool stuff to buy. But then I have a big list.

I finally met Scott in San Francisco during the Web 2.0 conference and we had a great chat. Although he did give me a stern look when I confessed I had not bought his book yet. :)

Pretty cool gadget. I played with one for two weeks and found the lack of book inventory and the OS software on it to be too "early adopter" for me. I wish there was a way to turn off the right side Next button. Let me know if you find a good carrying case for it because I will get another one sometime. Check out feedbooks.com and wowio.com.

Hey, CC. Awesome. Would you upload this to the Infected Novel Launch group?

Felt compelled to upload a photo of Infected on my Treo.

So far I like it. Posted thoughts at www.cc-chapman.com/2008/05/13/kindle-first-im pressions/

@Scaramouch - I agree with you that the fact you have to pay to read blogs is STUPID!!! I might not feel so bad about it if I knew the authors were getting paid some of that, but still dumb. If it was an open RSS reader it would be a much better device.

I bought one and I like it. I have to eat a lot of the crap I was spewing about it, because it's a great device. Being able to flip pages with one hand while walking the dog, a small but great feature.

@scottsigler, 'cause you you can't flip the pages of an eBook on your Treo with one hand? You are incorrect, sir... Being able to read books while eating dinner, or drinking coffee, or driving... okay I don't actually ever do that last one... is a nice part of reading eBooks on my Treo. So, I'm gonna give you some more crap about buying a Kindle.
