Getting Back Into Photography

Day 44 of 365

The further I get with this project, the more I've gotten back into my enjoyment of photography. It can be a pain at times, finding the time to take a daily shot, but all in all I am loving it.

My understanding, skill, eye, etc have all improved (or so I like to believe) and I feel I'm taking better phtotos and with the addition of my growing photoshop skills, creating some interesting works as well.

44 days into it and I find myself looking forward to the next days shot (most of the time) and I've complied a list of "projects" that I'd like to try or ideas that I'd like to use for my 365 Days. Hopefully this enthusiasm will continue for the remaining days.

This is really interesting. I've never seriously tried PhotoShop, I would like to, but it is too expensive. It's quite interesting the things you can create.

@go sox33, there is a free program out there that is very similar to Photoshop, although I can't recall the name of it (I'll do a bit of digging and get you the name), but it will allow you to do pretty much everything photoshop does from what I've heard. And you can't be the price of free!

Cayusa - Thanks for the info, but I know what you are talking about. The free program that is similar to Photoshop is Gimp. I have that. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to use much of it. There are so many books to assist with Photoshop and 1 bulky book (that I know of) for Gimp. Your work is still amazing!!!

@Go Sox33, the only other advice I can offer you is practice practice. You may be able to find an older version of Photoshop for cheaper than CS2 (or CS3 when it comes out of beta. Prices in the older ones usually drop. If you know any college students you may also be able to get a copy of the program at a Student Rate which is significantly cheaper.
