FIOS Is Coming, FIOS Is Coming

FIOS Is Coming, FIOS Is Coming by Cayusa.
Day 345 of 365

I've made the call and come tomorrow afternoon Comcast can kiss my butt. As an added bonus, I am also getting a 19" Flat Screen HDTV just for signing up.

Comcast is really going to have to restructure their billing now that FIOS has arrived. Not only do I get the same phone service that Comcast offers, it also has the added bonus of being 911 traceable. If, god forbid, something should happen and Savanah dials 911, but doesn't know what to tell them, they can trace the call and send help. Comcast's phone service, from what I've been told, doesn't have this option. My bill for phone, internet and television is cheaper than what I paid Comcast for television and internet only and that includes more movie channels and a DVR box. Oh yeah, I'm finally upgrading to a DVR as well! Woo Hoo!

In case you can't tell, I'm rather excited.

Ugh, I'm fed up with waiting for Fios. Every block around our block had the ability to order it back in October 07 because the lines were run on those blocks but I still have not seen them run the line down our block. They freaking skipped our block and forgot us! I checked if it was available to my neighbor across the street and the site said yes. LAME! I even signed up for the availability email notification crap...ERRRR!!!

It took them forever to hit our neighborhood as well. All my friends who lived "around the corner" had it and kept asking me if I had signed up yet. It wasn't until about a year later they started doing our neighborhood.

I'm fed up with them because the TV they said we are getting still hasn't arrived yet.

The problems with FiOS in my parents area... the lines are in, but they can only get the phone and internet right now. They have to wait 2-3 more months for the TV part, which is all they wanted in the first place.

Yeah, without the TV part of the package, you aren't saving nearly as much over Comcast. If you still have to pay Comcast for their TV service then you might as well just do their triple play package. If they hadn't offered us all three services I wouldn't have signed up.
