2008-06-06, GM Blockade Day 3

On Friday, June 6, leadership from CAW Local 222 and the CAW National union traveled to Detroit to meet with GM CEO Rick Wagoner. General Motors' executives heard the arguments from the top leadership but maintained their position to close the Oshawa Truck Plant. Despite the outcome of the meeting, CAW local 222 leadership received a hero's welcome when they returned to Oshawa and vowed to continue the fight.
