Domino Spiral

    I decided to try out using a domino as a unit in a structure synth creation....

    I really had a lot of fun designing this one, and am planning on coming up with a more photo-realistic image using this rule.

      Wow!! Great shot! The narrow depth of field makes this look absolutely photo-realistic! Just need knock down that little tiny one in the middle to start a big chain reaction :)

      Groovelock: I am considering an attempt to export this to blender and make an animation of the dominos falling, but will probably need a faster computer first. [ I now think I have permission from the misses to get a faster computer.. :) ]

      Stinging Eyes: Yes, that is a phong floor. I was surprised with the shortness of the render time as well. Im guessing its mainly because I used ambient occlusion global illumination instead of path tracing.

      I did end up getting this exported into blender to try a video of it, but the blender export template treated the entire unit as one giant mesh, so I was not able to properly animate it falling like dominos :(

      I did a few test videos of dominos in blender, and may upload them if I get some time, but rendering out 700+ frames individually in sunflow requires a much faster computer... or I may attempt to render them in blender and see how I like the results.
