    Pattern: minimalist improvisational piecing
    Materials: Kona cottons (in 15 shades of blue and 1 peach) and Moda's nicer muslin
    Techniques: machine pieced; longarm machine quilted; hand-bound

    Patchwork size: 64" wide and 70" long
    Finished Quilt size: 60" wide and 67" long

    Patchwork Started: noon on Thursday, March 19, 2009
    Patchwork Finished: noon on Friday, March 20, 2009
    Quilt Finished: early evening on Tuesday, June 23, 2009

    This is a quilt for a swap with Whitney who knit me a sweater.

    I didn't pre-wash any of the fabrics, so there was significant shrinkage and puckering when I washed the finished quilt. The amount of shrinkage was greater than I expected, but I love the texture of this finished product.
