A quest for the most perfect yellow yarn... by cauchy09.
Ever since I made these yellow socks I've wanted to find another great yellow sock yarn.

Oops...I forgot to include my STR in olivenite, which Megan is knitting up beautifully here.

Yes, please, I'll have one of each. i think my fave is the one you dyed with turmeric. Or maybe the Madelinetosh. Or maybe the Sea Wool. Damn, this is hard.

ooh, pretty!

I have some BFL top in shades of yellow that I hope to eventually spin up for a 3-ply sock yarn. It will be a long time before I can even begin that project, but your photo is inspiring. yay for yellow socks!

WOW!! I love them all as well, but am drawn to the chamomile and the one you dyed; the lemony yellow (Hello Yarn) is fabulous as well!

Oh my goodness. That's a lovely composition. All of those yellows are SWEET! Your turmeric dyed hank is lovely but a close second are Sea Wool and Hello Yarn's BFL.

My problem is that I love them all and so I can't find a way to wind up and cast on...! Yeep. But I think that knitting some sunshine in the dark days of winter will be good.

Yes! I really liked the idea of the super-casual green socks knitalong. Something like that but not just socks would be cool. You don't see enough yellow knitting going on.

Hmmm...I think the Sea Wool offers a nice combination of color and wearability. I love my yellow socks...but have never worn them!

Yeah, yellow socks aren't the most practical garment to make. But that's part of the fun of making them! I like to wear mine under my jeans and giggle all day in the back of my mind...

Umm, well, you treat it like any other dye and use acid to "fix" the color.
