      Wow, Dana, Happy (belated) Birthday! My sister's birthday is Dec 19th and this year I gave her some dvds.

      My big sister's birthday is the day before mine and my dad's is on the 9th. They both like receiving hand-made gifts too. I really do wish I had the ability to sew or knit or crochet or even to darn a dang sock. I have never been able to get the hang of any of those. It looks so relaxing as well!

      Yeah, my family has tons of December birthdays. And we all indulged in crafting from a young age. It is really relaxing (usually) and we can all appreciate the time it takes for good artisan work.

      Thanks! This one was the first I made where I counted every triangle as I pieced and it became a bit of drudgery. But it's one I come back to in moments of wishing I could do some more quilting...
