Okie. No one is allowed to laugh. Well, go
ahead, laugh - but pretend you didn't :)
This is a piece of clear resin that I beat
with an egg beater *just* before it set in
its square mold.
Then I placed it inside a little 3 sided
box I made from a piece of silver poster
board - not really shiny silver, but more
like that metal which is called
"brushed".
Then I used indirect halogen light (to get
the slight blue cast under the bubbles) and a
rather long exposure with a low ISO and a
wide open aperture.
I am guessing I was rigged up around 90mm
or so for focal length - I was sort of going
for a portrait scenario - with the bubbles in
the background distorting rather rapidly from
a shallow focal area. Experimental stuff. I
have a whole pile of them, digital, color
film and slide film (another from the same
set on the blog today). I am thinking I will "do
something" with them. What I will do is
anyone's guess.

Wow, you really worked for this picture! But
you got a very good result out of the work
too! It's kind of surreal. My first guess was
bubbles in water, though..
Congratulations on getting on
Interestingness! :)
