CHARLIE CHAPLIN JACKIE COOGAN 1920s

CHARLIE CHAPLIN JACKIE COOGAN 1920s by star1950.

CHARLIE CHAPLIN 1889-1977 JACKIE COOGAN 1914-1984
Shoulder Arms (1918), The Pilgrim (1923), and the feature-length classic The Kid (1921).
All Chaplin's United Artists pictures were of feature length, beginning with A Woman of Paris (1923). This was followed by the classic The Gold Rush (1925), and The Circus (1928).
As a child actor, Jackie Coogan is best remembered for his role as Charlie Chaplin's irascible sidekick in the film classic The Kid (1921) and for the title role in Oliver Twist, directed by Frank Lloyd, the following year. His scene in The Kid where he is taken away from the tramp character played by Chaplin and thrown into the back of a truck by the social service agents is one of the most famous scenes in cinema.

The Kid was a great movie. It was a sad story for Jackie Coogan when he became an adult that he found out his parents spent all of his money he earned as a child actor. Because of this there is a law where the money is put in trust for child actors which I believe it is distributed when they are adults. Jackie Coogan, if i'm correct, became famous as Uncle Fester in the Addams Family series in the 1960s.
