Babe was rescued as a calf from an auction and came to CAS when the woman who rescued him could no longer care for him. Half Holstein and half Angus, Babe was a giant at about 1,700 pounds, and was one of the most gentle and sweet souls we've ever known. We miss him every day.

Babe was born in May 1995 and passed away in February 2012 due to health issues. He was 17, ancient for a steer. He had a wonderful, long life.
