Documenting our weekend life of 2010.

I cut scraps of the wrapping paper and ribbon and included it in this page. I used Claudine Hellmuth’s multi-medium (gloss) to protect the paper. Once dry I lightly run white paint using my fingers so the print is muted and I can write over it. I find this technique very good when you want to write over a dark background.

I frayed the edges of the canvas page and used Glimmer Mist (Frozen Lake) with Creative Imaginations Chocolate Numbers paper as mask.

Finally got to work on my December Daily album. This is the cover of the Prima fabric album. The felt tree wraps around the spine of the album. I glued the felt on a cardboard to add stability and dimension. Doing this also prevents the binder rings from ruining the felt at the spine (the binder rings doesn’t show at the spine). At the bottom, I sewed brown buttons (base of the tree).

I used MM Funky Vintage Sea Foam paint as the base color of the cover. Smeared white paint for a shabby look and did some distressing on the embellishments.
