Wearing Red Belts - Carronshore, Scotland

Wearing Red Belts - Carronshore, Scotland by carronshore.
The Chinese custom says that, If you are born in the year of the pig, it is very important that you wear a red belt (or alternative red item of clothing) every day during the year. Chinese people believe that this can keep evil away (it is very important for a person to wear red during their own lunar year). It is best if the red belt is given to you by your closest kin.

We are all going to be 12 this year, so we made each other a red belt to wear.

Chloe is not 12 until next year, so she took the photograph!

Great photo of red belts. I wonder how many red belts will still be worn in a year's time? Hope you all have a great year of being 12.
