365.118 anais?

365.118 anais? by carrieoke13.
so I totally like this better WITHOUT the weird lace insert thingy. (see yesterday's 365) It looks cute on all the Ravelry versions; it's just not me.

I've already taken the lace part off - I think I'm going to figure out some kind of sleeve situation and call this one finished. Maybe single crochet around the armholes?

I agree - lace thingie is bizarro. maybe just do some ribbing? i think i would do like three rows of ribbing around both the neck and the armholes.

I'm so with you! The lace thing is a bit 80's elvira! I like GirlReaction's idea.

Yep, I think you've nailed why it's not quite right. The scoopy neckline without the lace is perfect.

bummer! because as you say, it does look so cute on all those people in ravelry :( what about some little short row cap sleeves? and since you didn't like the length, you could always pull out the bottom and add on? don't know! you've got several possibilities!

I like it with and without the lace. With the lace it's Anais, without the lace it's generic "vest" (which everyone needs).

I like it with the lace, as a shell under a jacket. But I totally trust you to know what's best for the schmoo!

OMG Elvira! Exactly. Do some ribbing and call it a day. Or make it cowl-y if you're feeling ambitious.

i have to agree with the 80's elvira comment. it's a super flattering fit on you, though. i think the ribbing would be fab!

Yeah, it's a little mesh-tanktop with the lace panel. I vote for ribbing, too.

Better without lace. But maybe a different lace? Fits you well, schmoo.

Hmmm... Well the lace is what's always sort of put me off of Anais, so I may be predisposed to liking it better without. However your face tells me in this picture you may like it better without.
