Seize the Fish

Seize the Fish by Ryan Brenizer.
If academic controversey interests you, than Stanley Fish is your man. He didn't disappoint in a recent lecture, taking on targets on the left, the right, and even the audience. The biggest surprise, one audience member noted, is how likable Fish is.

Looks like the kind of guy that would be in Congress at some point. Nice shot here. Was hoping it'd be from the D3, but regardless, a fine shot.

I had a political science professor in college who cited Fish quite a bit, possibly because he was, my prof, a radical subjectivist by nature, much the same that others have argued Fish to be...this must have been one helluva interesting shoot.

As for the frame, I've found the Canon 85mm 1/8 to be a superb portraiture lens, it appears your 85/1.4 is one heck of a portrait lens as well - tack sharp, nice light/exposure and bokeh

Great indeed. I like the "35mm" frame, too. =) If you just had the edge of a few sprocket holes it'd be perfect...

You're still the master of making an otherwise boring subject (an academic doing a speech) at least somewhat interesting with a great capture of it...

This is a great candid, well captured and the lighting is superb. I like everything about my Fuji S5 Pro except the speed. At a sum of the parts it's a fine camera.

Saw Fish speak at SIUE. A student stood up and thought he could (verbally) butt heads with the man. Needless to say, Fish ate him up using about three sentences. The sad part was that the student didn't have a clue that he had been thoroughly beaten by one of the best and kept on going. It was like watching a toy dog bite the bumper of a moving car and hold on.

Anyway... great picture. All of them are great. Keep it up!
