hills around station
Ashgabad lies in a bowl surrounded by hills. the bowl captures the smog and pollution and makes it very hazy around the hills most days we were there. A fairly new cable car has been opened that goes from the base of the hills up into the "mountains" and would make a fantastic view on a clear day. It's worth the ride just for the length of the ride and to see all the millions of trees that have been planted around the capital to combat the pollution.
