North Lake

North Lake

This was my first destination when I got to the Eastern Sierras. The colors were so vibrant. I didn't expect many orange colors, mostly yellow but I was so excited to see both. Miss the deep reds of the north east. I am so in awe of this area, as I was telling other photographers, "I could stay here all day."
Mountains, snow, fall colors, water, who can ask for more?

Aspens in Bishop Creek Canyon

Aspens in Bishop Creek Canyon

This is along side the road of Bishop Creek Canyon. I love Aspens when the leaves go yellow with the white trunks. The road was littered with trees like this and the colors were so intense.

Bishop Creek

Bishop Creek

Went to the Eastern Sierras on Monday to shoot some fall colors. I grew up on the east coast and saw some gorgeous fall leaves and have missed it since moving to Northern CA. So decided on going and ended up in snow, sleet and rain.
This is Bishop Creek in the canyon taken from a bridge on the roadside. I was on my way to Lake Sabrina and just after taking this the clouds came rolling in and snowing. I haven't been snowed on in ages and it was so fun.
Met some Flickr people up there that were giving a Fall Workshop in Mammoth the next day and it was fun just bumping into them a lot and meeting other Flickrites.

Getting Ready

Getting Ready

I attended the Great Reno Balloon Race this past weekend Sept 10 & 11. I love shooting into the balloons as they get ready to soar.
