sylvia.

Every tree tells a story within its bark, though none take the time to sit and listen. Their branches were the first shelters, holding close houses for birds and squirrels, watching over them as they grow old. There is a certain way the light filters golden through the leaves that only one who knows the true heart of a forest would understand. And yet, a forest isn't just trees. It is moss, dirt, fallen leaves, nuts, animals, everything, anything that makes it alive.

It is here amongst the trees I feel at home.
