i should be writing up reflections & lesson plans, but my mind's too occupied. i'm entering a photo contest soon, & i don't know what to send in. there are no requirements & the options are endless, and i remembered this little gem--an outtake from day 192.
help me figure out what to send in? please? so i don't drop out of college because i'm too preoccupied with things i want?

i know i'm about 2 hours late, but i wanted to a) post a thanksgiving list, and b) post another photo from the wedding :)
so, yes. it was thanksgiving just a mere 2 hours ago, but things got a little crazy around these parts (between dinner & a late night showing of precious with my best friends (the movie comes highly recommended, by the way) i barely had time to breathe!) and i didn't have the opportunity to properly upload a list of things i'm thankful for. so, i'll do that now :)
+ i'm thankful for my amazing family.
+ i'm thankful for all my friends--hometown, college, flickr, so on & so forth. you're all amazing & have helped me through some rough times & have made some amazing memories.
+ i'm thankful for photography & everything that it's brought to me.
+ i'm thankful that i still have both of my mom's parents around. they're hilarious, loving, & some of the greatest people i'll ever have the privilege to know.
+ i'm thankful for love, in all forms.
+ i'm thankful for music to dance/sing/drive to.
+ i'm thankful for laughter.
+ i'm thankful for great movies & enrapturing books.
+ i'm thankful for late night car rides with the windows down, be it june or december.
+ i'm thankful for hand-holding.
+ i'm thankful for warm cardigans & cozy scarves.
+ i'm thankful for hot coffee in the morning & black tea and honey at night.
+ i'm thankful for different versions of "fly me to the moon" because they remind me just how amazing frank sinatra's version is.
+ i'm thankful for men's cologne & the memories attached to it.
+ i'm thankful for honesty.
+ i'm thankful for the amazing life i've been given--there is rarely anything to complain about, and when there is something to complain about, it's so menial that it's not even worth mentioning.
i could go on for hours, but those things sprung to mind first. i hope all my american friends had an amazing holiday & aren't stuffed to the point of being comatose (or maybe that's what they want ;)). i've finally finished editing all of the wedding photos, so i'll probably be posting a few here & there until i run them all by the couple.
in the meantime, enjoy this picture of a martini taken with my lensbaby. it's trippy & fantastic & makes me want olives.
