The meteorite crater field in Kaali, Saaremaa

    Newer Older

Main hole of the Kaali meteorite crater field in the estonian island of Saaremaa. The diameter of this crater is about 110 meters and up to 22 meters in depth. Analyses suggest that a mass of 20 to 80 tons landed here at least 4000 years ago.

    see it big.

      That looks amazing
I'm going to Saaremaa in june, and wanted to know if the situation with mosquitoes/lime disease was that bad, if one had to worry about taking mosquito nets? Can you help?
      Thanks a lot,
