Complex flaps, massive GE90 engines, triple boogy landing gear and speed all dance together to bring this giant Air France 777-200 back down to Earth. When you stop a realize what's involved it is quite amazing what planes do with so little effort on a daily basis.

bumba_raas_clot - I hope if Boeing comes up with a worthy competitor to the A380 class of aircraft it's a brand new design not a reworked 747. They will also have to do it yesterday since the A380 is already a reality. The 747-8 isn't selling well to passenger airlines and for that matter new customer A380 sales have stalled for the most part as well. IT could be there is only a very small market for these massive airliners.. the 787 seems to be the sales winner in the end albeit a smaller capacity hub busting aircraft. Smaller is better sometimes and on that front Boeing has already won :)
