She hadn't been there long (still warm), and moving her carcass off the road revealed the salty silhouette from passing cars on a winter highway.

    A powerful and haunting image. I've been photographing lots of live coyotes this winter in their natural habitat. This serves as a good reminder of how tenuous our thread to the planet really can be, and makes me appreciate and respect the little critters all the more. Oh, and everybody please slow down!
