Ho visto questa figura stilizzata su una colonnina del Parco di San Giuliano a Mestre. L'espressione stordita con gli occhi oramai ciechi mi ha fatto pensare alla massa di Italiani che da anni oramai ha smesso di occuparsi del proprio destino affidandosi al politicante di turno

L'incidente accaduto alla Costa Concordia è un fatto che mi ha colpito molto. Documentando la costruzione di queste meravigliose navi da crociera si ha la percezione dell'elevatissimo livello tecnico e costruttivo che le contraddistingue.
In questa foto si può vedere l'interno della Costa Deliziosa, nave leggermente più affusolata e lunga anche se di minore stazza rispetto alla sfortunata Costa Concordia. La struttura non si dovrebbe discostare molto e si vede bene nella zona in basso a sinistra la fiancata dove è avvenuto l'impatto. Purtroppo si tratta della sala macchine, dove per le dimensioni dei motori vengono occupati due piani (B e C). Nonostante l'intervento delle paratie stagne è facile immaginare come queste aree si siano allagate molto rapidamente rendendo ingovernabile la nave stessa per lo spegnimento dei motori.
