Wow, looks delicious! What's that in that in the foreground?

Homemade cranberry sauce. I convinced my mother to forgo the canned stuff this year. It had dried apricots in it. Very good -- but very tart!

Nice shot, makes me feel like I am there. Could you pass me some of the cranberry relish? Sounds good, may have to try that next year. hehe Maybe even Christmas!

We have been playing with making cranberry smoothies lately. Try this, it's pretty good...

      one banana
      one cup of ice
half a cup of frozen cranberries
      one cup of cranberry juice
one cup of V8 Tropical Orange Fusion

I am using a Magic Bullet so the amounts may vary. If you put it in a regular blender and play with the amounts you can make more than one. This one yields one large or two normal size 8oz smoothies...I think. LOL

Actually, I've been buying and adding them frozen cranberries to my smoothies for some time. I usually use plain yogurt and a Splenda or two. One great combo is matcha, yogurt, Splenda, cranberries, and strawberries. Gives you a nice flavorful kick in the pants! (And crazy amounts of antioxidants.)

I can't seem to time my smoothies to banana availability, so that's out. :)

      !! I just saw this on publicradiokitchen.org/

It's a gorgeous picture - but most importantly: my mum has that china too! I'll be eating off it the day after tomorrow. It makes me feel so happy and at home to see it.

      Happy holidays to you.

My parents had those Acapulco dishes when I was growing up. I've always loved them.
