First of all let me say that I don't like the lure position in this image, too flat on the background, I forgot to put the Patafix behind to give it an angle. Anyway, as you have seen from my previous images I just received a brand new led flashlight and wanted to test it. I must admit that I have been surprised by the power of the Led Lensed I have bought, even at half power if you insist too much on a spot it can burn an image, even at f32 the aperture I had to use to be able to work with at least 4 seconds shutter speed. For this image I used a 10" shutter speed, and carefully painted the product trying to achieve this king of dark/clear blotches without burning everything up.
Let me say that this is quite difficult, or at least it has been for a hamster brained guy like me. The direction of the light must constantly change in order to avoid those dark shadows that remind of bare speedlights gone bezerk, the amount of light must be spread very carefully and last but not least, next time I will need to work with a neutral density filter in front of the lens because at f32 images suck!
Take it for what it is, a first test, and if you have any suggestion for my next one (no, I cannot change my rat sized brain ;.) ) you're the most welcome to write it in the comments
