Real notes

Real notes by capsizing.
Look, that's something that may actually end up in my response paper!

I also underlined some passages that I thought were important.

But can we turn 42 into a 4-5 page response paper about this article, without plagiarizing any books?

Probably not. Not that many pages, anyway, unless you use lots of filler... something like this, maybe?

"Duh. 42. I mean, really, duh. Why do you have to ask? Um... "

Okay, nevermind. Apparently I can't make filler this time of day. Which is a shame, because normally, I can ramble on at will, even automatically, when I'd rather not. Sometimes I just start talking, and I get to a point in talking, where I'm like, "wait a minute, how did I get here?" Maybe I should just go to work at midnight every day, and avoid getting on my coworkers' nerves.

It has to go better than my last paper. We present them in class, and it quickly became clear that the professor thought he assigned a completely different article for me to read. Or I missed the entire point of the article, though I like to think I've been doing this long enough to not do that.

Ooh - the ones to present in class always killed me. One time, it became VERY clear to me at the begining of the first person's presentation that I had completely misunderstood the assignment (read the wrong chapter in the wrong book, even), so when it was my turn, I said the 10th grade equivalent of "Sorry dude, I got nothin'." (If you're counting that would have been a wicked many years ago.) The short-lived embarrassment of publicly taking a 0 and some marginal harassment in front of the class was much better than what would have happened had I presented it...

I just hope the professor reads the article I read before he grades my paper. Otherwise, he's going to be very confused.

See, I look at this and ask, "why me????" Then I remember that I chose to go to grad school and wonder when I hit my head hard enough to think that was a good idea.
