OuchMost definitely not supposed to be protruding like this.   The first casualty of our trip - theblackvegetable's 24-105L. The mounting was slightly wrenched out of shape due to a fall. The screw that one can see protruding from the mount is supposed to sit flush. Hopefully we can get it repaired, but if not thank goodness for insurance.
