bedroom

The south wall of my bedroom was so bare, but the room is so narrow (which is why I only have a frame style bed) I couldn't put anything on it. So, I gave it presence in the room with this huge graphic sign I made in my backyard.
The sign cost me 30 dollars to make. It could've been cheaper, but I was lazy and used premade letter stickers.

Piccolo Takes All, mindibartell, and 263 other people added this photo to their favorites.

To make the sign, I just bought a piece of plywood from the hardware store. I had it cut down from 8' to 5' (4'x5' final dimensions). Then I stick vinyl letter stickers straight to the plywood. Then I spray painted it. Then, I peeled off the letters and let the paint dry. Lastly, I screwed the plywood into my wall. Voila!

This sign is so neato and creative! Thanks for the inspiration, it makes me want to create something.

Would you estimate that the letters are about 4" high?

hmmmm... 4 inches seams about right!

Hi! I have a question - I LOVE your dresser runner - did you make that? If so, how? And could you post a closer pic so I might be able to 'wing' my own version? Love your aesthetic :)

I didn't make the runner, and in fact, I think it was the beginning of a quilt topper. I found it at the antique mall and I thought that the size and shape was begging to be used as a runner. It's just fabric yoyos sewed together as you would do when making a quilt topper. So, if you wanted to make one, I would probably search online for yoyo tutorials. Thanks for the compliments! :)
