This is my technique for basting a quilt. I am a machine quilter. There are several different ways to do this, but this is the easiest way for me. I hope it may assist you. Cheers!

I dump out a big handful of pins by CampFollowerBagLady
I leave the pins open until the entire quilt is pinned, then I close them all. by CampFollowerBagLady
