Ads on Japanese Twitter!

oooohhhh what's this?! ;)

If you set your language to Japanese in the account settings page, you'll see ads!!

Does this means that the Japanese don't mind ads? Were they asked? What would the rest of the English speaking Twitterspere think about this?
