Islamic patterns: The Alhambra, Granada

Detail from the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. This is another variation on the classic eight point stars I've been uploading. The Alhambra displays Islamic geometric patterns at their most excellent. This is from the Mexuar hall (from Arabic "shura" or "mashwara" to consult, ie the public room). These days the entrance into the Alhambra is through the Mexuar. Medium: tile.
