Holesov {Holleschau}, Moravia - Jewish cemetery - and a partial reconstruction of this ancient Jewish community.
researched by Celia Male with many tombstone photographs provided by Harold Chipman, a LÖFF descendant, who asked Celia to come to Holleschau with him.
Other wonderful photographs from the WEINBERGER/HOFSHI/KOHN family in Israel [see the first 24 photographs at the beginning after the two extracts from publications.
Also many thanks to the LOEFF family {ex Holleschau} in Chile for their continuing support.
Also to Roman Musiol from Poland for some beautiful photographs to enhance the site.
A few graves are from Vienna, Baden-bei-Wien and Modling {FRIED LEMBERGER MANDLER POLLAK TANDLER WEINREB ZERKOWITZ}. With many thanks to Traude Triebel and Gerhard Reumann who took some of these pictures.
My most grateful thanks to Tomer Brunner, Uri Meretz and Hanus Grab for the Hebrew and Czech translations and Orit Hofshi for her moving photographs of her art work and of her mother Ina Kohn, née Weinberger visiting Holesov.
Very few descendants found in Austria, Chile, USA and Israel of: BERG FISCHER KNÖPFELMACHER LÖFF MÜLLER SKAL STERN TAUBER WEINBERGER and ZWILLINGER families.
There are nearly 400 photographs to look at so far.
Many of the people buried in Holleschau were surprisingly old - it was obviously a healthy place to live till the holocaust.
