A young groundhog lives on the property and has taken a real liking to the deck area of my apartment. My daughter Kate lives there, and she has a basil plant growing in a pot on the deck. This little one often climbs right up the stairs to nibble on it. He saw some movement through the window when I went to take this shot and dove for cover under the deck. In a few minutes, he peeked out and then stood there for several minutes, enjoying the sunshine.
