That's what I heard too. But then I got to wondering where the drugs are for the shoes I saw hanging over the 101 freeway* the other day.

*Since I saw it in Northern California, I would be fully right to write "on 101" and not "the 101," but I'm trying to appeal to your SoCal sensibilities.

Oh, I know full well that no self-respecting resident of SoCal would feel the need to add "Freeway" to the end. That was just hybrid norcal-socal terminology. (having lived in both norcal and socal for a decent amount of time, I've spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about nomenclature).

I'm just wondering how somebody managed to get shoes hanging over the freeway in the first place.
