Outhouse Pershing/Prairie Gem Outhouse, Elk Falls, Kansas

    Oh how glad I am that we don't have to do this in this modern day and age! LOL

    This is obviously not the original outhouse, but I like that they added this bit to the schoolhouse grounds as there most certainly was such a facility at the original site.

      So did my inlaws. Wade's father's family were sharecroppers. My mother was a city girl, but my father lived in rural Arkansas and used one of these for quite a while as well as a child.

      It's a one holer. There are just some things I don't want to share with others. Urination is right there at the top of the list. ;)
