In 2003 Oberon High first entered the RACV Energy Breakthrough. The first challenge of the year was to Build a hybrid this was not an easy task because we had never built one before. After a few months of design we started construction. Construction lasted for about six months. Our vehicle was been built from the ground up from chrome-molly tubing and alloy running gears to maximise strength and minimise weight. The body consists of a vacuum formed polycarbonate nose cone and light weight paneling designed around the aerodynamic principles to minimise drag.
