Pink is my wife's favorite color. I'll have
to show her this one.
My mom was a knitting fool. All of us kids
have a major sweater from her needles. Mine
is a fisherman knit. She usually drew out
her own patterns on graph paper, too. My two
oldest brothers got snowflake pattern ski
sweaters.
She once knitted an evening dress using kite
string. It had a muslin look to it, and with
the small size "yarn", it turned
out to be a pretty tight knit item that held
it's shape. She totally pulled it off.
In college, she knitted a sweater with the
first 8 bars of That Old Black Magic and a piano keyboard in the front and back
yokes. My sister has that one, now. Wow was
it cool.
I'm glad the art isn't totally lost. You
