Lamborghini Crash
I'm sitting at the breakfast table eating when the neighbor knocks on the door. We find out that a Lamborghini has crashed a good 10 blocks down from our area and that we could take a look before they tow it. I arrive at the scene of the crime with my father and surely enough there was the car sitting with it's back end against the tree on a homeowners lawn. Apparently the driver was driving by quite fast yesterday in the area. Sorry I did not take a picture of the entire scene, I should go back when I get the chance.
This house is sitting in a small crescent with an island infront of it. From the tire tracks it looks like the driver tried to whip around the island at a fast speed but failed to do so. I'm not quite sure how he lost control but his front right (left in this picture) end hit the tree at the bottom of the front lawn. The father of the home heard the noise, walked to his front window and saw the car spining and finishing beside the tree at the end of the lawn near the fence. Luckily the trees were in place or the car would have flew right into the living room.
Now from chatting with the home owners they said there was a driver and a passenger in the vehicle. The passenger got out laughing at the entire scene. "I don't think this is a laughing matter" as the lady of the home stated. He is just lucky that no one got hurt. That's the scary part too considering the number of children that were gathered around the car. I'd imagine the driver would feel differently had there been an injurty let alone a death on his hands.
This is a reminder to those who believe street racing is fun. Not only do you risk your life but you also put others in danger. There is a reason why they make race ways for people to drive on.

After posting all these pictures I realized that I did not do a great job in taking a picture of the entire scene to show the entire story behind the crash.

Wow Carol. Nice photoessay. It's pretty sad, too much car, not enough driver.
And without plates, obvious that he just got it. It's a US car though. I wonder how he was planning to plate it, since you can't bring a US Lambo into Canada for registration........

Hmm do you say great pictures or just thanks for being on the scene of the accident? Either way thanks for the play by play
Maybe the passenger was laughing because he was in a shock or something I can't see how one could just laugh hahaha there goes $250,000
Thanks Carol =)

Hey Pro. It is pretty sad and you know what? He himself, the homeowners, and the neighbours near by were quite lucky that the engine of this car is actually in the trunk.
Actually I grabbed a shot of the rear

You can tell my the plate it was imported from Oregon.
blondygirl - Well the crash was a good 10 blocks from where I live, thus I couldn't resist the photo op. Who laughs when they're in shock? sorry I just can't see how you would laugh at that, especially since it's a residential neighborhood and with kids always riding their bikes.

You laugh because there's nothing else that you can do in a situation like that.

That sucks about the Lambo. One thing though is that it's not a Gallardo. It's a Murcielago (don't know if I spelled it correct) and it's about $50,000 to $60,000 more. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
Regardless someones insurance is going to go up drastically.

carol.c - Great pictures!
donavangrffith - your are correct it is a 2005 Murcielago Roadster, new in Canada they are in the $500-550k range. This is currently the most expensive car in the Lamborghini production fleet. Lamborghini's in Canada are much more expensive than in the US due to the closed and limited market.
As for the comments about the alleged passenger laughing, well I'm not sure how I would react after spinning out of control, hitting a tree, and getting punched in the face by an airbag and hope not to experience that ever, do you?
I'm not going to judge, nobody but the driver and passenger know what it was like and what exactly happened. I'm glad that no one was seriously hurt. It is very unfortunate that this happened in any scenerio, at the end of the day someone is out a car that most only have pictures of and will never in ther lifetime experience.
What we do know is that this ~600hp AWD Lamborghini Roadster lost control and hit with enough force that it deployed the driver and passenger airbags, and deployed it's emergency rollbars and is more than likely unrepairable.
