Old Store in Napier.

Old Store in Napier. by byfred.
This is the "old Store" in Napier, Ontario..........vintage 1872. It is no longer in operation, but they do open it occasionally for fund-raising sales, etc.

Napier is a quiet little village, just west of Strathroy and tucked very neatly, on the banks of the Sydenham River, well off the "beaten track". There are some really nice new homes, in and around Napier, but the "core area" consists mostly of a Masonic Lodge and a Presbyterian Church.

What an interesting old building. This is the kind of place we always wanted to set up our antique shop, but could never find anywhere around here. The odd one turns up, but often so far off the beaten path that you would not get enough traffic.

The old place is looking pretty good considering it had a decidedly southward slant not three years ago. It's also great to see they saved the painted flag during the restoration.
