Ménilmontant, traces d'un passé qui s'éloigne.
I should be doing something productive instead of uploading this, but even though this is certainly not my greatest picture, one sometimes needs to spend time for things like this...
I have always been fascinated by this little place, with the almost forgotten reminder of a heroic act, almost 70 years ago.
Two quick links about the event : libération de Paris and Madeleine Riffaud.
For the photographic technicalities: I found one of the mythical LTM 50/1.4 Nikkor SC. The few pictures I could make do not seem to indicate a big progress with respect to my great Jupiter-3 though.
Bessa-R, nikkor SC 50/1.4, Kodak Plus-X, Rodinal 1+50.

Easy
A digital picture with the soft rendering of an old lens; in other words, an unpretentious modern portrait.
I must say there is something magical in the color rendering of these Meyer-Optik lenses. I would love to find an uncoated pre-war Primoplan one day.
Canon 5D, Meyer-Optik Primoplan 58/1.9, M42 aluminium coated version, wide open.

Out in the wild
Paris, métro (La Chapelle ?).
Canon 7, 50mm, Kodak Tri-X @400, Rodinal.
I am not sure whether this is with the Jupiter-3 or the Canon 50/1.4. Do some bokeh experts have an opinion ?

Planar Dr.
I do not remember exactly when I made this. I tried the Contax SLR, here with the Planar 50/1.4. The lens is remarkable indeed. The negative got quite dusty and it took me some time to clean it up reasonably.
Contax 167, Planar 50/1.4 @ around f/2 I guess. Rollei Retro 100, Rodinal.
